The McGrath Native Village Council Vision and Mission Statement
The McGrath Native Village Council exists for the benefit of their tribal members. Council and tribal members will work together to achieve those facets of life that enhances the lifestyle and health of all tribal members.
We strive to: empower our self-determination, self-governance and reinforce self-reliance; preserve our heritage and cultural values, preserve our heritage to the best of our ability and resources; develop, encourage and protect a healthy community for current and future generations; improve our quality of life and self-sufficiency; create opportunities for our tribal members to become self-empowered and responsible for the wellness and safety of themselves and their community; work towards the success of the tribal members by providing education, training, information, and options that satisfy their needs, enrich the social and economic and physical well-being of our tribal members.
Meetings
The McGrath Native Village Council’s goal is to meet once a month, meeting dates vary, however, dates will be shared on the website and via flyers in four different locations:
- MNVC Office
- Washeteria
- AC Store
- Post Office.
Meeting notices will also be posted on the McGrath Message Board, MNVC Facebook, and the MNVC website. When a meeting occurs, it will be held at the McGrath Native Village Council.
Note: Tribal Council meeting dates may change, MNVC will ensure the notice of change will be public.
